Sophomore Jayne Halterman of Independence High in Tennessee won the girls 5-kilometer silver race at the RunningLane Cross Country Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala. Halterman, representing Dragonslayer XC, rallied to edge junior Clara Crain of Edgewood High in Indiana by a 17:43.37 to 17:44.56 margin.
